This highly burnished red melon jar was made by Toni Roller of Santa Clara Pueblo. It is signed "Toni Roller Santa Clara Pueblo" and dated "October 1986". The expanded melon ribs and the canals between ribs are all burnished, so there is no matte finish in the design. Toni Roller (1935-) is a daughter of Margaret Tafoya and granddaughter of Sarafina Tafoya.
