This magnificent red-on-tan carved jar was made by Tammy Garcia in 2022. It is signed and dated. There are gorgeous parrots and flowers presented in polished red slip with a background of tan clay that is textured and with lines carved with depth. The designs cover the entire jar from base to neck. The neck is fluted in matte tan coloration.
Tammy Garcia (1969-) is a daughter of Linda Cain and sister of Autumn Borts-Medlock. Her grandmother was Mary Cain, and great grandmother was Christina Naranjo.
