The artwork, rendered in bronze, captures a sense of serene strength and timeless grace, reflecting the deep cultural significance of corn in Native American traditions.
The piece is signed by the artist, D. Hyde, and is part of a limited- edition series, number 10 of 15. The meticulous detailing and the artist's craftsmanship in portraying the girl and the corn stalk demonstrate a profound respect for Native American heritage and the natural world.
Doug Hyde was born in Oregon, and eventually made his way to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he attended the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA).
