Virginia Romero was a distinguished Taos Pueblo potter, celebrated for her dedication to preserving the Taos Pueblo micaceous pottery tradition. As a student at the Santa Fe Indian School in the early 1900s, she began her journey into pottery in 1919. Remarkably, she continued her craft until her passing in 1998 at the age of 100.

Known as Pop Tő (Flower House), Virginia T. Romero (1898-1998) has been honored by the Millicent Rogers Museum and the State of New Mexico for her significant cultural contributions. Her exquisite works are featured in several prominent museum collections, ensuring her legacy endures.
