Katsina

August 28, 2009 until September 25, 2009

The exhibit consists of older katsina dolls, dating from around 1930 to 1980, and varying in size from 6 inches to over 2 feet. Some are identifiable to a specific carver but most are of an age where the carver’s name is no longer available. The katsinas represent the pantheon of gods from Zuni Pueblo and the Hopi Pueblos.
