Diné - Navajo Nation
Diné - Navajo Nation: the Diné are best known for their fine textiles—blankets and rugs—and their exquisite sterling silver and turquoise jewelry and accessories. Adobe Gallery regularly features a select group of estate Diné jewelry and a few select Diné rugs, as well as a few vintage baskets.
Adobe Gallery has a comprehensive book selection that includes a selection of books on Diné textiles and jewelry, all of which are viewable on this continuously updated website.
Note: when we say Diné (as opposed to Navajo), we are refering to the people and not the government. Since 1969, their government refers to itself as the Navajo Nation.
