This is a handmade lamp by Michael Adams of Aurora Studios. It is classified as the #400 "bean pot" lamp. The base is copper and the shade is copper with mica inserts.  It has a single light bulb unit. Michael Adams is an artisan and founder of Aurora Studios in Oswego, New York, makers of hand hammered Arts & Crafts Metalwork, Architectural Metal, Custom Handcrafted Metalwork, Arts & Crafts Lighting, and Custom Lighting. The studio was founded in 1985.

Aurora Studios creates handcrafted hammered copper lighting fixtures that faithfully reproduce the finest lighting of the arts and crafts period. Many of the lanterns, sconces, table lamps, and chandeliers made by Aurora Studios are exact reproductions of Gustav Stickley or Dirk Van Erp designs, and others are original creations of artist Michael Adams. Aurora Studios also offers custom lighting and accessories as well as repair and re-patination of old copper work.

Provenance: This lamp is Michalel Adams own creation. It was purchased through The Mission Oak Shop of Woodstock, CT in November 1989 and delivered in April 1990, stamped 1990 51.
