The katsina is signed "H. Naha," suggesting it could be the work of Hank Naha Jr., Hank Naha Sr., or Henry Naha.This Hopi Katsina doll, poised on one knee, is an extraordinary example of intricate craftsmanship. Each feather on the headdress and wings is individually modeled while the fox pelt at the back and garters adorned with carved bells are executed with exceptional detail. Even the underside reveals perfect symmetry—a delightful surprise. Painted in soft, muted tones, every aspect of this katsina reflects careful attention to detail, creating a piece of the highest quality. The katsina is signed H. Naha, suggesting it could be the work of Hank Naha Jr., Hank Naha Sr., or Henry Naha.

The Eagle Katsina is associated with spring ceremonies like the Kiva and Repeat Dance. In Hopi culture, eagles are revered, considered family members, and honored guests. They are cared for with gifts and ritual feeding, much like Hopi children, until their feathers are ritually collected in the spring for use in sacred ceremonies.
