Robert Tenorio is known by all who know him as an unselfish and giving person so it is no surprise to know that he painted this bowl made by his grandmother, Andrea Ortiz. It is signed in the hand of the artist as well as the hand of Tenorio. The bowl most likely dates to the early 1980s when the potter was in her 80s and probably unable to paint pottery any longer.
Shown in the Polaroid photograph is the potter, in the center, and the collector, Frances Sonnenberg, on her left, holding this bowl.
Condition: The bowl is in original excellent condition.
Provenance: ex. coll. Frances Sonnenberg, Santa Fe resident.
