Corine Lovato was a student of Kewa potter Robert Tenorio and he taught her to use all natural materials in her work which, he says, she faithfully follows. The bowl is thin-walled and beautifully shaped. Kewa pottery is not always thin walled, but Lovato has achieved the process of doing so.
The design on the exterior of the bowl has been called a “tulip” design by some and that is easy to understand. The bowl is relatively new and is signed with the artist’s name and the initials of the pueblo.
Condition: excellent
