Hopi Oomaaw’katsina, Cloud Katsina from the Fred Harvey Company Collection [SOLD]

This is an authentic and excellent representation of the Cloud Katsina.  It is carved in the blocky style of the 1940s and exceptionally well painted.   On the back of the mask, stencilled in black ink, is Property of and Return to ADVERTISING DEP SANTA FE LINES Room 1753 80 E Jackson Chicago, ILL.  He is mounted on a square black wood platform of the style used by the Fred Harvey Company on many of its katsina dolls. Written under the kilt in black marker is “To Ship Wrap in Blankets 41815-0.”

Condition: this Hopi Oomaaw'katsina, Cloud Katsina from the Fred Harvey Company Collection is in very good condition with some cracks in the wood and with some paint abrasion.  The Hopi sash hanging on the right side has been broken and glued back in place.
