November 29, 2024 until January 07, 2025Adobe Gallery's Annual Holiday Nacimiento Exhibit celebrates a unique fusion of Spanish and Pueblo cultures, featuring intricately crafted Nativity scenes, or "Nacimientos," created by Pueblo potters. A Nacimiento traditionally depicts the birth of Jesus, with the Holy Family, shepherds, and animals gathered in reverence. Originating from Spain, the tradition was introduced to the Pueblo cultures by Spanish missionaries in the 17th century and has since been embraced and transformed by Pueblo artists.
