Stella Tanner, Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo (San Juan), is the mother of potter Roy Tanner and often collaborates with him in pottery production. She, along with her grandmother, Luteria Atencio, taught the craft to her son. Stella Tanner has been an active potter since the mid-1970s and has won many awards at Eight Northern Indian Pueblos Arts & Crafts Shows, and has exhibited at galleries in Oklahoma and Illinois.
