Irving Toddy (1951- 2020)

The oldest son of famed Navajo (Diné) artist Beatien Yazz, Irving Toddy attended Utah State University where he studied painting and illustration. He and several other Navajo painters became known as the "Gallup Realists." Because his work is so realistic, it is greatly different from traditional Navajo painting. One of his favorite subjects was Canyon de Chelly.  Toddy was born on February 4, 1951 and died on November 25, 2020.
