Santana and Dolorita Melchor

Santana Melchor (1889-1978) Kewa (Santo Domingo) Pueblo and her daughter Dolorita Melchor (1937-present) occasionally collaborated on pottery, as Santana got older.

Dolorita Melchor also helped Crucita Melchor with her pottery. "I fill in the blanks after Crucita has outlined the designs. We use old designs, what you see from the old pots."  - Rick Dillingham Fourteen Families In Pueblo Pottery. 1994 page134.
