History, Arts, and Customs chapter covers the following subjects:  house building, agriculture and horticulture, salt gathering, food and drink, dress and adornment, weaving, basketry, pottery, silversmithing, breadmaking, wagonmaking, auctioneering, and recent changes in arts and industries.

 

Condition: The book is in very good condition as if used very little, if any.  The deluxe cover is not is such good condition.  Both the front and back covers have completely separated from the spine.  We have obtained an estimate from a bindery of $75 to rebind the book in hard board covered in cloth.  We can have this done if desired. That cost is additional.  An ink notation on back of first blank page reads: Compliments of Henry E. Reed, Seattle, Feb 28, 1909
