RARE: Zuni Design - First Edition of Appendix I of The Pueblo Potter [SOLD]

First Edition of Appendix I -  Zuni Design

Ruth Bunzel published the comprehensive book The Pueblo Potter: a study of creative imagination in primitive art in 1929.  The original edition had three Appendices: Appendix I - Zuni Design; Appendix II - Hopi Design; Appendix III - San Ildefonso Design.

This posting is the first edition of Appendix I - Zuni Design.  It contains pages 92 through page 130 and is the complete Appendix I.  It has been bound as a separate book and is in very good condition. It is very rare and scarce.

Each page has a number of Zuni designs and the page opposite it describes the design’s use and names and meanings as recorded in 1924 and 1925 by Bunzel.
