“In 1975 Mr. Read Mullan of Phoenix, Arizona presented the Heard Museum with his collection of Navajo textiles. The pieces in this gift numbered 63, however, over the years Mr. Mullan has gifted a total of 87 Navajo textiles to the Heard Museum. This catalogue presents fifty-two of the best and most representative examples of the Navajo textiles Mr. Mullan has given to the Museum.”
