Softcover, first edition, catalog of traveling exhibit of Katsina doll collection of German artist Horst Antes, 1980, large format, 176 pages, illustrated with hundreds of katsina dolls.

Text is in the German language.  The exhibit travelled to four European cities in 1981 and 1982.

Horst Antes is a German visual artist who was born in 1936. He has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Ludwig Museum of Contemporary Art and at the Kunstmuseum in Basel. Many works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'Figur Flora' sold at Ketterer Kunst Munich 'Post War/Contemporary Art' in 2011 for $375,583. There have been many articles about the artist.  He was an early collector of Pueblo katsina dolls and related materials and his collection has been documented in this book.
