Francisco Zùñiga’s works resume a historical process which first found expression in the creations of Mexican mural artists. They borrow nothing from historical or factual events, but are actually the expression of basic human gestures. Under their veils, their shawls which cover but do not hide their unalterable forms, they live freely as they used to, these primitive women who remained so through the ages.
