AWA TSIREH: PAINTER OF SAN ILDEFONSO by Dorothy Dunn
An excellent article on this famous painter that reveals his loss while in his early twenties of his young wife and infant son leaving him distraught with grief from which he never fully recovered and never married again. He became melancholy and withdrawn yet found happiness in his art.
