Because of the New Deal Indian policy that put a bold new concept of the value of America’s native cultures, Rene D’Harnoncourt, assisted by Denver Art museum curator Frederic H. Douglas, would provide a bold and inspiring presentations [displays in the museum or in their writings]. Together, with their team of experts, they worked to include Native Americans in aspects of the exhibition other than simply as contributors of works for display.
