This booklet was published in 1969 when the population of Santa Fe was 45,000.  It is now 80,000.  It showcases the works of over 50 artists living in Santa Fe at the time and specifies that there were more artists not listed at the time. In such a booklet as this it would be impossible to present all the artists living in Santa Fe—even all of the good artists.  This is only an attempt to give a cross section of the styles of painting and sculpture which were current.  All between these covers are fully professional both in respect to technical dexterity and attitude of mind.  No dilettante, however talented, has been included: nor one who is resting on his laurels.  Each one of these men and women is an active and serious worker, intent on achievement in the field of fine art.
