Pulitzer-Prize-Winner Oliver LaFarge was twice president of the Association on American Indian Affairs, has participated in several anthropological expeditions to the Navaho country, Mexico, and Guatemala. He was instrumental in framing an alphabet for writing Navajo. He won the Pulitzer Prize for his novel about the Indian, Laughing Boy.
In A Pictorial History of the American Indian, Mr. LaFarge traces the history of the Indians of North America, correcting many misconceptions and reconstructing in great detail the life of the Indians in every section of North America.
