Contents

History of The Post

By the sheer will and spirit of its traders and the Navajo people, Teec Nos Pos has endured for nearly a century as a lone outpost on these lands.  More importantly, it’s one of the last of the family-owned and operated posts on the Navajo Reservation

The Teec Nos Pos Rugs

The eccentric design is intricate and often combines multiple colors and servel borders with bright splashes of color

The Three Weavers

Their hands are strong, and each has a will to create that is unbending regardless of their age.  Their methods are worlds and generations apart. The three weavers are Mary Redhouse (b. 1910), Lucy Whitehorse (b.1926) and Roy Kady (b.1965)

The Trading Post Today

The Teec Nos Pos Trading Post is one of the last of its kind.  It’s one of the few remaining family-owned and operated trading posts on the Navajo Reservation
