This catalogue and exhibition focus on the ways in which dolls have been created and used by the Native Americans throughout the Western Hemisphere, in the past as well as the present. The dolls from the collections of the Museum of the American Indian show a geographic range from Alaska and Greenland to Chile, and temporal span of more than 4000 years.
