Hopi Pueblo carver Sheldon Talas was born around 1940 and lives at Polacca, at the base of First Mesa. He has been an award winner at the annual Hopi Show at the Museum of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff for his amazing Kachina – Katsina carvings.
