The artist is mixed heritage Hopi and Pima. He was born in 1959 at Williams, Arizona, but now lives in Flagstaff. He is related to famous Hopi jeweler Charles Loloma. He is a proficient musician and says he carves to support his band. He uses a lighter pastel palette than most carvers and the sanded finish to his carvings results in very fine surfaces. He has been an award winner on numerous occasions at the Hopi Show of the Museum of Northern Arizona, Heard Museum Show in Phoenix, and the Santa Fe Indian Market.
