Melda Garcia Nampeyo, Hopi/Tewa, Corn Clan, active 1975-present; polychrome jars. Melda is a great-granddaughter of Nampeyo of Hano, granddaughter of Fannie Nampeyo and daughter of Leah Garcia Nampeyo. With lineage like that it is no wonder that she is such a talented potter.
