Picture of Lawrence Namoki Hopi PuebloLawrence Namoki, Hopi Pueblo, credits Nathan Youngblood of Santa Clara Pueblo as having had the strongest influence on him. Lawrence attended the Phoenix Indian School, then served in Special Forces, Green Berets, Army 82nd Airborne Division. He has exhibited at Eight Northern Pueblos Artists and Craftsmen Show and at anta Fe Indian Market.

Like Thomas Polacca and Carla Claw, Lawrence chose to produce Hopi pottery reflecting Hopi culture and myths rather than the Sikyatki-revival style of the Nampeyo family. He uses such symbols as Kivas, Sun, and Katsinas.
