Larson Goldtooth (1971 - )

Larson Goldtooth Hopi/Tewa Tobacco Clan. Larson is the son of Ernestine Goldtooth. He learn pottery making from his cousin Mark Tahbo. Larson was inspired by Helen Cordero and Virgil Ortiz both from Cochiti Pueblo, in 1999 went from traditional hopi shapes and designs to making clay figurines. By 2002 Larson won first place ribbon at Santa Fe Indian Market with his standing figures, Larson also won a Fellowship award in 2005.

In 2007 Larson became a full time potter, making pottery in the traditional Hopi Pueblo method, hand-coiled, stone burnished, color clay pigments and the wild mustard and bee weed plants to disign each piece, then outdoor firing with cedar wood and sheep dung.
