Karen Namoki is in the Frog Woman and Feather Woman extended families. She is a daughter of Pauline Setalla, which makes her a niece of Eunice Navasie, Josephine Setalla and Perry Navasie, the latter who is the husband of Frog Woman. She lives in the Walpi Village of First Mesa. She is a Hopi, not a Hopi-Tewa Indian. According to Schaaf* she has been an active potter since age six.
