Karen Kahe Charley of Hopi Pueblo is a daughter of Marcella Kahe, who was her mentor. She has been an active potter since around 1980, following the birth of three children in the 1970s. She has been awarded Best of Show, Best of Division, and Best Traditional Pottery at the Museum of Northern Arizona and at Santa Fe Indian Market. Her work is always beautifully executed.
She signs using her initials and a butterfly hallmark.
