Harrison Begay Jr. is Diné of the Navajo Nation artist, from the small Navajo Reservation town of Jeddito, Arizona. Harrison was exposed to the medium of Santa Clara-style Pottery in the early 1990s.
Over the years Harrison has sought to improve his skill in the creation of art though Pottery, citing direct influence from numerous individuals from Marie and Marie's family and Santa Clara Pueblo potters like Marcia and Andy Padilla, and Eugene & Isabelle Naranjo. Harrison also cites influence from famed-potter Tammy Garcia, famed-potter Jody Naranjo, famed-potter Theresita Naranjo and famed-sculpter Allan Houser.
