Florence Aguilar Naranjo (1921- )

Florence Aguilar Naranjo is one of the few potters at San Ildefonso Pueblo who carves the designs into pottery. Most potters paint the designs. She was born October 4, 1921, the daughter of Rosalie and Jose Aguilar. She has been an active potter since the 1960s making carved blackware jars, bowls engagement baskets, effigy bowls and figures.
