Ellen Quandelacy (1924-2002) is the matriarch of the family. She is one of the most famous of the Zuni Pueblo fetish carvers. Her horse fetishes are particularly sought after by collectors. Ellen was the daughter of Johnny Quam; sister of Lorretta Eracho, Annie Gasper; mother of Andres, Avery, Barlow, Sandra, Dickie, Stewart, Wilmer, Faye, and Georgia Quandelacy, and Albenita Yunie, Emmett Bobelu.
