Anahwake Nahtanaba (1940- )

Anahwake Nahtanaba is a Caddo Indian from Oklahoma, although she has lived most of her life in New Mexico. She works in clay, bronze, oils, and beadwork. At the present, she is living in Santa Fe. Her works have been collected by Glenn Close, Meryl Streep, Kevin Costner, Rachel McLeash, Intel Corporation, Durabilt Corporation and others. Presently, she is creating clay pieces using contemporary materials, such as commercial clay, paint, sealants, and electric kiln.
