An extraordinary original watercolor of a Mythical Horse by Merina Lujan (1906-1993) Pop Chalee - Blue Flower of Taos Pueblo. This is the graceful style for which Pop Chalee has become famous.  An original painting by Pop Chalee of the Mythical Horse is one of the most iconic and prized of all her art.

This Native American Painting is a watercolor on grey paper. The horse is black, the tail and mane are white with fine white hair for the mane and tail.  The horse's beautiful mane and tail are amazingly detailed, with each hair individually painted in exacting detail. It is signed in lower right with her name Pop Chalee and her hallmark feather logo.

Provenance: from the collection of a family which is consolidating two homes into one and found it necessary to release some of their art collection.
