JoFern Silas Puffer is a daughter of Roberta Silas. She is Hopi Tewa and Laguna mixed heritage. She has been an active potter since 1990 but there is scant information published on her. She obviously is a very talented potter judging by the thin walls of this jar and the precise placement of the painted design.
Condition: structurally in excellent condition with some over-paint on areas of the design.
Recommended Reading: Contemporary Hopi Pottery by Laura Graves Allen. This book is currently not available from Adobe Gallery
