Sterling Silver and Single Green Turquoise Stone Bracelet [SOLD]

Early Navajo jewelry is characterized by bold, heavy silverwork with simple stone settings. When the railroad arrived in the Southwest bringing tourists, the silversmiths recognized a new market and the styles of jewelry changed to reflect the esthetic of the travelers. One of the biggest influences on the style of jewelry made for tourists was the Fred Harvey Company. This finely crafted bracelet reflects the style and influence of Fred Harvey.  Less heavy and more elaborately decorated than the older style, it has one beautiful green stone set in a twisted wire bezel, which is framed in a gracefully crafted sunburst style silver frame. The sides are beautifully stamped in the characteristic Fred Harvey style.

Condition: The single green stone and all of the silver work are in excellent condition.
