NOTICE - Plains Indian Paintings Special Exhibit

We are pleased to present this collection of excellent paintings by a variety of exceptional Plains Indian artists, including Allan Houser, Stephen Mopope, Carl Sweezy, and Fred Beaver. The exhibit includes early works—Sweezy's, most notably, which provide a link between early ledger art and traditional Plains paintings—alongside pieces that date to the mid- to late-twentieth century.

The Special Exhibit - Plains Indian Paintings will open next Friday—June 7—with a reception at the gallery from 5 to 7 pm. I invite you to come see these paintings in person. As always, the show is viewable online for those who are unable to visit.
