Thunderbird Guardians: Andy Cadman's Sterling Silver and Turquoise Master Work
This contemporary sterling silver bracelet with a beautiful light blue turquoise gemstone was made by Diné jeweler Andy Cadman. The silver band is a work of art with a mixture of straight and contoured edges. The ends of the band have straight edges with straight silver bars. On the upper band, the sides are curved on their edges. Prominently displayed are a pair of silver thunderbirds as guardians of the gorgeous light blue turquoise with a floating array of gold matrix.
Andy Cadman is a member of a large Diné family of silversmiths. He was born in 1966 and has been actively making jewelry since 1989. He is described as a jovial big bear of a fellow.
