According to Southern Pueblo Pottery 2,000 Artist Biographies by Gregory Schaaf, Marianita Venado was born around 1900-1910, which would make her approximately 75 to 85 years old at the time she made this storyteller. I was not aware of her when we had storyteller exhibits at Adobe Gallery in the 1980s so perhaps she was no longer making them at that time.
