Polished red pottery candlesticks seem to be more rare than polished black ones, perhaps because blackware was so popular in the mid-20th century when most Southwest Indian Pottery candlesticks were being made. This pottery candlestick from Santa Clara Pueblo is tall and graceful and decorated simply with white-outlined red triangles. It shows evidence of prior use.
Condition: this Santa Clara Pueblo Single Redware Pottery Candlestick is in very good condition
Provenance: from a family in New Mexico
