Kee Bahe is a contemporary Navajo artist who resides in Flagstaff, Arizona. He has been drawing since he was a child. He studied at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe and Scottsdale Artist School. He is a versatile artist who works in many different mediums and styles.
This cubist-inspired painting shows a Navajo person whose hair is in the traditional Tsee-Yel or bun. Around the Navajo’s neck is a silver squash blossom necklace. The grand landscape of the Four Corners frames the visage of the proud elder.
The painting is signed in the lower right. It is framed in a simple black frame.
