This necklace appears to be of recent vintage, perhaps 20 or so years old. It is stamped with the initials LFX and the word sterling. We have not located a listing in published reports to define to whom those initials belong. The silverwork and lapidary work are extraordinary. The large number of silver beads were exquisitely formed. Each coral cab is deep red in color and burnished to perfection. Each blossom is attached to a silver bead and each blossom is short, resulting in a compact rather than large display. The silver naja has elaborate curved ends and a fleur de lis in the center. The ends of the necklace are covered in sterling silver cones, and a silver clasp is attached to the ends. Because of the compactness of the beads and blossoms, the necklace is relatively lightweight and comfortable to wear.
