This large turquoise gemstone is fascinating. The brown matrix swirls through multiple shades of greenish blue turquoise, resembling gentle waves of tropical ocean waters. Highlighting a beautiful turquoise gemstone by framing it with exquisite silverwork is the hallmark of traditional Diné of the Navajo Nation jewelry making. This mid-century turquoise and silver ring is a prime example of such work. An artist, who is only identified by the mystery hallmark "Mm", mounted a large sky-blue turquoise gemstone with a beautiful brown matrix in a classic straight edged bezel. Surrounding the bezel is a segment of twisted wire that rests on an elegant stamped base.

We have been unable to find an artist with the hallmark Mm. The artist stamped it at the bottom edge of the ring along with sterling. It has partially worn off, indicating the ring has seen loving wear, however it is still in perfect condition.
