LuAnn Tafoya Large Jar with Avanyu Design

This tall, graceful black jar was made by LuAnn Tafoya of Santa Clara Pueblo. It is signed with the name and pueblo of the artist but not dated. It was purchased by the previous owner in 2018 which is an indication of its age. LuAnn Tafoya (b.1938) is a daughter of Margaret Tafoya. This beautifully burnished dark black jar features an Avanyu encircling the mid-body of the jar.
