There is very little published information on Mae Mutz. She was from the village of Sichomovi on the Hopi Reservation and presumably was an active potter from around 1960 to 1983. That is the extent of the published information.
Obviously Mae was an accomplished potter if one were to judge her by the quality of this beautiful bowl. It was well formed, beautifully burnished inside and out, and a well-executed design placed on the exterior.
Condition: excellent condition
