Rows of intricately inlaid pieces of coral and graceful water designs twist around on this sterling silver bracelet by Lonn Parker. Lonn Parker calls the design “twist bracelet” because the design twists around in a way that repeats itself in reverse. The coral pieces are inlaid, tapering from larger segments in the center to smaller at the ends. The coral pieces are set skillfully and precisely into silver channels. The fluid water designs in silver complement the inlay giving the bracelet an elegant and modern look.
Lonn Parker was born in 1958 in Denver and went to school in Utah. He joined the Marines after high school. One of his first jobs, at the age of 11 was buffing silver at Gallup Indian Trading. He watched the silversmiths there and from this experience he taught himself the art of silverwork.
According to the meticulous records kept by Marvin and Betty Rubin, we know that this bracelet was purchased directly from the artist in 1997. Inside the bracelet is stamped “Lonn Parker Originals” DO NOT BEND “Sterling” “USA” and a feather design.
Condition: the bracelet is in excellent condition.
Provenance: this Lonn Parker Twist Bracelet with Water Design and Inlaid Coral is from the estate of Marvin and Betty Rubin of Albuquerque
